Crystal Cave

The Crystal Cave is located in the village of Kryvche, Ternopil region and is one of the most famous gypsum caves in Europe. The length of its explored passages exceeds 23 km, but only a small, carefully equipped section about 2.5 km long is open to tourists. The cave got its name due to the bizarre crystal formations on the walls. Snow-white, creamy and even golden gypsum outgrowths form marvelous patterns resembling sparkling snow fields, stars or flowers. Here you can see unusual forms of stalactites and stalagmites, as well as minerals that create a fabulous atmosphere. The cave has a stable temperature of about +10 °C and high humidity, which makes it comfortable to visit at any time of the year. The tourist route is laid out in such a way that you can enjoy the most impressive parts of the cave, including halls with stone waterfalls and corridors decorated with natural tapestries. Archaeologists and speleologists study the ancient formations of the cave and also find traces of primitive people. Every year the cave attracts many tourists and adventurers, offering an unforgettable experience of exploring the underground world. A visit to the cave is accompanied by fascinating stories of experienced guides who reveal the secrets and legends of this unusual place. Locals tell many legends about the cave and it is believed that it has mystical energy and can fulfill wishes.
